In their much-anticipated semifinals matchup, James didn’t have to do it all by himself as he got some help from J.R. Smith, Kyle Korver, Jeff Green and Tristan Thompson despite Kevin Love’s struggling performance.

Smith scored 20 points while Korver and Green added 19 and 16 points after Cavs coach Tyronn Lue’s decision to go with a small starting lineup produced a positive and fortunate result at the same time as they were trailed 10 points early in the fourth quarter.

In addition, Thompson was incredible again with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Love shot 3-of-13 for seven points and 13 boards.

”My teammates were unbelievable tonight. They stepped up when I wasn’t at my best.” James said after the game

On the other hand, DeMar Derozan led the Raptors with 22 points while Kyle Lowry contributed 18 points and 10 assists. (Sign Up now for more updated news and sports events)

In addition, Jonas Valanciunas had 21 points and 21 rebounds against the Cavs. On top of that, the Raptors could’ve won the match if Toronto’s point guard Fred VanVleet didn’t missed a 3-pointer in the final seconds of overtime.

”He got a heck of a shot. I’ll live with him shooting that shot 10 times out of 10. We got a good look and it just didn’t fall.” DeRozan stated

Moving forward, Game 2 will tip-off on Friday at 6:00 AM (GMT +8) at the Air Canada Centre.
