Following a horrific results of matches in the Premier League, Southampton FC has decided to part ways with Mauricio Pellegrino.
The 17th-placed Southampton, who is just one place and one point above the danger zone, have won just one of their last 17 league games and lost 0-3 over Newcastle United.
Pellegrino previously managed Deportivo Alaves and replaced Claude Puel when he was hired by the Premier League club last June of 2017 on a three-year contract.

The club also announced that they sacked assistant manager Carlos Compagnucci and assistant first-team coach Xavier Tamarit.
A Southampton statement earlier read: “We would like to place on record our thanks to Mauricio, Carlos and Xavier for their efforts during their time with Southampton, and wish them well for the future. To sum it up, Pellegrino has become the ninth Premier League manager to lose his job after being terminated by the club.
Southampton hopes that they can appoint a new boss before there FA Cup quarterfinals on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 9:30 PM (GMT +8) against Wigan Athletic before there Premier League game over West Ham United.
