The Cleveland are now in a winning column after successfully winning their eight straight game and now second to the Milwaukee Bucks’ 9-0. On the other hand, the Los Angeles Lakers suffered another setback as they fell to 2-7 after dominating the whole first quarter and was up at the end of the first half with a score of 64-58. But the young Cleveland Cavaliers came back in the second half as they demolished the Lakers, outscoring the home team at Crypto.com Arena 56-36 to deliver the team’s seventh defeat this season, second in home court.

“All of our spirit seemed to have left the building, and that’s one of the parts of re-establishing a winning culture is being able to maintain a competitive spirit,” Coach Darvin Ham said during post-game interview.

“What we saw in the first half is how we want to play. We were right there going toe-to-toe with them, we actually had the lead going into halftime.

And then the second half, again. Shots don’t go down, a few turnovers happen and we kind of dropped our heads a little bit and they just kept revving it up, revving it up,” Coach Ham added. “We have to continue to fight and that can’t change, continue to be competitive and that can’t change.”

“We just didn’t come out ready. We were playing catch-up,” Westbrook said.

Donovan Mitchell is very optimistic about his new (Cavs) team trying to return to the NBA playoffs for this season, from 2017-2018, the year where Lebron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Los Angeles Lakers.

“I grew up a Cavs fan so I’m very aware of Lebron, but I don’t think that was what we brought into the game,” Mitchel said during an interview.

Garland is only playing his second game with the Cavaliers this season, but he causes an immediate positive impact for the team as he dishes out 24 points and 7 assists to help Donovan Mitchell and lead the Cavs to a victory over the struggling Los Angeles Lakers.

Lebron James gave his praise to the young Cavaliers.

“I got in trouble last time when I was just giving an honest opinion,” Lebron James said during an interview. “Which I don’t care so I’ll give another … They did a great job in the offseason of picking up big-time players. They have a really good team and a great and a great coach. A well-balanced team and a bunch of players (who) seem like they just really want to play ball.”
